Buzz up!
A snippet of Eminem’s “Crack a Bottle” music video has been leaked to rapradar.com.
The track, which set a first-week record with 418,000 downloads in February, according to Billboard.com, features verses from Dr. Dre and 50 Cent.
The video clip on rapradar.com – a Web site launched by former XXL editor Elliot Smith and Shady Records’ co-founder Paul Rosenberg – doesn’t feature Em himself, but a creepy transient in the street and then a Shady-like character locked up in cell 313 before he splits into multiple personalities.
The clip can also be found on the newly redesigned Popsomp Hills site accessed at Eminem.com.
Once inside the site, take a virtual tour inside the creepy fictional rehab facility while Em’s single “3 a.m.” plays.
The main room features a door that says “No access. Reopening May 19, 2009.” The drop date of Em’s first full-length in four years, “Relapse.”
On the main desk/control panel there are drawers to open (which contains a broken liquor bottle which then plays the “Crack a Bottle” video clip), a radio to play (or not), and a TV screen that projects grainy images from the grim “3 a.m.” video – which premiered uncensored Saturday night on Cinemax.
On the right side of the virtual tour open a door and travel down a corridor before stopping inside a cockroach-infested cell.
There’re plenty of twisted fun things to click, including a plastic baggy holding some type of finger (food).
Dr. Dre’s and 50’s verses aren’t including in the preview posting.
“Crack a Bottle” will be the third video released as anticipation for the May 19 “Relapse” drop builds.
