A preliminary hearing in a drunken drive case against rap star Eminem’s half-brother has been rescheduled to May 21 in Shelby Township’s 41-A District Court, officials said.
Nathan Mathers, 23, is younger brother to Marshall Mathers, whose stage name is Eminem.
Nathan Mathers was arrested last month for driving with a reported 0.16% blood-alcohol content. The legal limit in Michigan is 0.08%.
Like Eminem, Nathan Mathers raps. His stage name is Nate Kane. He allegedly was pulled over early April 15 in Macomb Township for not stopping to let an ambulance pass, prompting sheriff’s deputies to administer field sobriety tests, which he reportedly failed.
A preliminary exam for Nathan Mathers had been set for today but was rescheduled late last month due to a scheduling conflict with his lawyer, court officials said.
