| Subject: Rick Ross Says The Battle has Been Won, Challenges Eminem Wed Jun 10, 2009 10:43 pm | |
| I was reading through Hip Hop Weekly, and I stumbled on this load of crap.
Hip hop'ss self proclaimed 'Boss' Rick Ross has declared victory in his war with G-Unit CEO, 50 Cent, who's new CD Deeper than Rap has sold an estimated 160,000 its first week in stores, landing at number one on the billboard, spoke recently in an interview with DJ Envy on his satellite radio show saying, "When I say someone like a 50 Cent is finished, I don't mean that he can't go to the studio and release an album," Ross said. "I'm pretty sure he can release as many albums he wants for the rest of his career. But I mean, can he capture Get Rich or Die Tryin' again? It's a difference when someone is on the way up and when someone is on the way down. It's a big difference."
And, if Ross's proclamation wasn't enough, later in another interview, this time with MTV News, he sent some words the way of 50 Cent's close pal Eminem, hinting at a potential lyrical war with Slim Shady. "I mean, I'm a fan of Eminem. I'm a fan first and foremost. But after defeating Curly, my confidence is at an all time high. Maybe before I wouldn't have challenged him, but I'm contemplating it now. The came is commending me for my victory. That's all I wanted to do was... punish the opposition. I think I've done a great job and I'm gonna continue to do that," Ross said, "I think he's a bigger and better artis than curly is. So if I was looking to fulfill that excitement or that rush, that's who I have to address."
He then left open the door for a potential apperance on Eminem's soon to be released Relapse CD saying, "I'm trying to be apart of that. It's either way. We're going to see one way or the other."
As Ross was taking his victory lap, and offering record deals to G-Unit members Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo, who are rumored to be let go by Interscope, 50 stayed low key, perhaps trying not to give Ross any more publicity, or because he's been busy on the set of his latest movie, Twelve, which is currently in production in NYC.
One can most certianly expect him to respond with extreme prejudice, in the weeks leading up tho the release of his Before I Self Destruct CD. One person who had plenty to say about Ross is Lloyd Banks.
He spoke in a web video about a recent BET special that featured the Miami Rapper, where Ross refused to confirm that a woman named Brooke, who had appeared in an amateur porn video tat was posted on the internet by 50, was the mother of his daughter.
"...You gonna get on BET and lie talking about you don't recognize the lady in the video and that you can't verify? N*gga, thta's your baby's mother and thats the bitch you were loving and fucking with out no condom." | |
