(Moments before Bizarre interrupts a wedding between Nicki and Drake look-a-likes)
By Tamara Palmer
D12 rapper Bizarre shares his considerable affection for the lovely Nicki Minaj in a hilarious new song and video titled "Hey Nicki." Set to a sample of Toni Basil’s cheer-tastic 1982 pop hit “Mickey” (voted VH1’s fifth biggest one-hit wonder of all time), the MC declares himself, in the words of pal Eminem, “a Stan” of the Young Money rapper.
The video takes stalker one step further and finds the overweight lover adopting Nicki’s wacky wig look and fawning over a collage of magazine pictorials. It even features a Minaj look-a-like preparing to marry a guy that resembles one of her most well-known Young Money cohorts.
“It’s the end of the world, it’s almost Armageddon,” he raps. “If you and Drake get married, I’m f—king up the wedding.”
Nicki Minaj, J. Cole Nominated For Best New Artist Grammy
No word yet on Nicki Minaj’s reaction to the video, but she’s employing the theme of love for her sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, which is currently set for release on February 14, 2012, aka Valentine’s Day. This week Nicki also snagged a coveted Grammy nomination for Best New Artist, the results of which will be revealed on the televised broadcast on February 12. That she’s been immortalized in a lovingly creepy rap song must be icing on the cake that has been Minaj’s extraordinary week.
Meanwhile, Bizarre is reportedly set to drop a mixtape entitled Life as a Backup Dancer for Hammer and those are some moves that we’d definitely love to see.
