Cheryl Cole To Record Eminem, Nicki Minaj Collabos?

Cheryl Cole is said to be "in talks" to record collaborations with hip-hop heavyweight Eminem and female rapper, Nicki Minaj.

According to the Daily Star Sunday, the Geordie star is hoping to work with some of America's biggest artists in a bid to crack the US, with the likes of Rihanna and Usher also expected to feature on her third solo LP.

An insider told the tabloid: "Cheryl's album is finally coming together now and is sounding incredible."

"It's completely different to anything she's brought out before and has much more of an urban vibe than her previous pop-based stuff. There's a lot of heavy beats and it has a real old-school flavour to it."


The source went on to explain: "Not only has she lined up Rihanna and Usher for duets on the album, which she's ecstatic about, she's also in talks with Nicki Minaj as there's one track in particular on her album which Will.I.Am thinks would be perfect to have Nicki's vocals on."

"Most of Cheryl's vocals have been laid down now after doing much of the recording a few months ago in LA at the studio underneath the Sunset Marquis hotel, and then with her recent stint in New York with Alex da Kid and some other incredible hip-hop producers who've worked with the Black Eyed Peas as well as artists such as P Diddy and Lupe Fiasco."

It is thought that Chezza will also work with Lady GaGa's creative director and choreographer Laurieann Gibson for the music video for her new single - which is apparently due for release next year.

The source added: "Will told her about Laurieann who's worked on most of Lady GaGa's videos and a host of US hip-hop stars."

The Girls Aloud singer has since been spotted in Los Angeles, wearing a rather fetching pair of trousers which seem to have been inspired by The X Factor.

As well as sporting the XF trews, Cheryl proved there were no hard feelings between herself and former boss Simon Cowell after she surprised the music mogul by flying a birthday banner over his Miami home.

The Fight For This Love hitmaker hired a plane, trailing the message "Simon Cowell is 52 today! Ha ha ha! Love Cheryl xoxo" - with sources claiming SiCo found the prank "hilarious."

A mole told the Sunday Mirror: "Cheryl knows he likes to keep his birthday quiet so he thought it was very funny that she was teasing him over it. They had a strong friendship outside of work."

"The past couple of weeks they have been back in touch and there's no doubt they missed each other's friendship. Cheryl's been totally reborn in the past few months. That's why she doesn't care about poking fun at Simon."

They added: "And she always used to worry about what he'd think and say all the time but she has a sense of freedom now."
